Karyn Hamilton

I am a mom and grandma who has worked with children since high school. I majored in art college, but found my true calling when I became a preschool teacher at St. Andrew's by-the-Sea and have worked in children's programming for over 20 years. I love working with kids and their parents!

Sue Lederman

I’m very excited to be part of the Tyke Time family.  I look forward to sharing the knowledge and  experience I gained during my many years of working with preschoolers as a special education teacher and speech language pathologist in our school district.  Playing and laughing with the little ones here at Tyke Time brings me much joy and satisfaction. I hope to meet you soon.

I love being part of the Tyke Time community as a caretaker and now as a member of the team. Working with little ones and supporting a family's journey through parenthood is something I am very passionate about. 

Darcy Deshazer

Hi, my name is Darcy. I have a B.A. in Psychology & Early Childhood Education. I’ve taught all ages ranging from preschool to high school. But my passion definitely aligns with early development. I really enjoy working with Special Education students as well,  since my older daughter happens to be on the Autism Spectrum. I’m a mom of 3. Twin teenagers  who attend Dana Hills and a 2 year old named Hartley that absolutely loves Tyke Time and will come play while I’m here. Looking forward to meeting all the wonderful families that make up this amazing community!

Maelynn Schlipp

I am a mother of two and come from a family of teachers. I love teaching my children through the art of play and I am thrilled to bring a child-led play space like Tyke Time to our community! I adore children and think they are beautiful creatures that yearn for knowledge and are molded by their environments. I also think it is amazing that 90% of a child's brain development happens before age five! I want to provide a space where they thrive; a place where we can watch their brains develop each day. I also know that parents and caregivers need continuous support. Tyke Time was born to focus on both child and the parent or caregiver offering a space where we can connect with our children and simultaneously with other parents or caregivers in the community.

Emily Bredthauer

Program Director - St. Andrew's by-the-Sea

Emily Bredthauer has been active in various positions in Children & Family Ministries for the past 13 years. She is currently the Director of Program Ministries at St. Andrew's. One of Emily's greatest joys is to see children, youth, and adults meaningfully connect with God and each other. She has a Master in Social Work with an emphasis on children and families. Emily and her husband of nearly 20 years, Greg, have four children, ages 4-13. She loves God, reading, traveling, sewing, Vacation Bible School, and eating dark chocolate.
